Organic Buffered Acid Etch

Acid etching opens the pores of the concrete and allows the concrete to bond well with a very thin coating. The result will be a surface that is easy to clean, eliminates dusting, gives superior reflectivity, and provides a cost-effective maintenance system. The floor is scrubbed with a detergent to remove dust, then acid- etched, and scrubbed again to neutralize the acid in the concrete. The floor is then allowed to dry for at least 12 hours before the coating is applied.

Organic acid etching is a way for large projects—as much as 50,000 square feet in one day—to be done quickly, reducing downtime and lowering the overall maintenance budget.
