GulfAtlantic Disk Sanding
Disk sanding is used to cut small scratches into the floor so the next coat will bond to the previous coating both physically and chemically. This preparation step is useful in several applications:
- Before recoating a floor, often a buffing with sanding screens and one coat of epoxy can bring a floor back to its original luster.
- When the floor is finished with multiple coats of epoxy, disk sanding will remove blemishes and ensure the last coat is smooth and cleanable for the life of the floor.
- A “wet sanding” process can be used to avoid sanding dust which may interfere with equipment, thus maintaining a very clean environment.
